I still to this day find sand the most amazing thing. I remember being a kid and thinking what is this stuff. It’s not really a liquid and its not really a solid, you pick it up and it runs through your fingers like water. This makes sand a brilliant teaching tool. It allows for you kids to play with toys that would normally take a water without them getting absolutely soaked. Sand also take the shape of any container you can put it in. Sand is also a brilliant artistic tools, I always use to draw pictures in it then you can quickly rub it out and start again. It is also very brilliant for autistic children, it is a very tactile subject and feels very unique when you run your fingers through it. Sand is also one of those things as silly as it sounds is actually quite a rare thing. I mean you normally only get sand at a beach and not every one lives close to a beach. So getting a sand toy is a great way to get your kids to experience it.
