I bought this toy for my grandchildren ages 3 and 1 ½ last August. They both had great fun with it for months and months. If it is assembled properly, there is a drip pan to collect the extra bubble solution. I don’t understand why people say this machine doesn’t make bubbles. You simply have to rub the liquid over the grid with the brush and it will make great streams of bubbles. In truth, the only component of this machine that really works well is the brush. The rest of the pieces are just window dressing. When both the children want to play with the bubble machine, I use a small kitchen pastry brush as an extra brush. It is noisy, which reminds you to turn the machine off. I plan to get another one today because the on/off switch stopped working. That is probably my fault because I left it out and it got rained on. There wasn’t much of a tipping problem but that could be because I don’t leave the children alone in the yard. I could easily see how young children playing alone could knock it over if playing alone.

Both of my children love to play with bubbles. They are still too young to do it for themselves, and always want bubbles blown for them. All they ever want to do when we go outside to plan is to do is chase bubbles. Needless to say I get pretty tired of endlessly blowing bubbles… and a little light headed. We tried other bubble blowers and were not at all impressed. Either they spilled easily or they were too hard for the kids to operate.
