Our Maclaren Triumph Stroller Amazon.com Recommendations:
The Maclaren Triumph Stroller is, like all Maclaren strollers, upscale, easy to fold, and frankly, it is a very good looking stroller as well. It is available in numerous color/trim combinations from fun colors like raspberry to more sophisticated navy blues, cappuccinos, and charcoal grays. If the way a stroller looks is important to you, then you should definitely check out the Maclarens. They’re very classy looking.
One of Maclaren’s signature features is the “5-second fold.” While some parents can’t quite do it that fast, they admit that it does a good job of folding up compactly and easily. Weighing in at 15 pounds, it isn’t the lightest fold-up stroller out there, but it is very sturdy. It also has a canopy and rain cover which some of the lower end strollers either don’t have or which cost extra.
The Maclaren Triumph is suitable for infants of 3 months or older. The wheels aren’t the most “cushy” out there, but they are sturdy and work fine on most relatively smooth surfaces. The only consistent complaint from parents is that when the stroller is reclined, it is very difficult to put things into or take things out of the storage compartment underneath. But for most parents, this isn’t a “deal breaker,” and there are other brands of strollers that have this same issue. Plus, you can’t hang anything substantial on the handles, because it will tip over.
As for the rest of the features, they are mostly a matter of taste and preference. The rain cover is reported to do a great job at keeping babies dry, and the fact that the seat covers are removable and washable is a great plus to many parents. The handles are hooked like umbrella handles, and they have ergonomic foam for comfort.
All in all, the Maclaren Triumph is a highly rated stroller that performs well and looks great doing so.
