The Maclaren Quest Stroller comes in two variants: the Mod and the Sport. The differences are cosmetic. With Maclaren strollers, a British brand with numerous classy color/trim combos, the plusses include maneuverability, durability, and ease of fold-up. The Quest is similar to the Maclaren Triumph, which is a cheaper model. The Quest is slightly lighter, at 12 lbs. rather than 15, and it has two extra positions it can recline to. It has reflective trim, a UV-protective window in the canopy, and leg rests that extend. Whether these features are worth an extra $50 for the Maclaren Quest is mostly a matter of personal taste. The Triumph is also a highly rated Maclaren stroller. And if you don’t need a reclining seat or the kind of padding that helps out on bumpy rides, then Maclaren makes a very simple umbrella stroller called the Volo for about $90.

Amazon Recommendations:
In parent reviews, parents loved that the Maclaren Quest is lightweight and yet looks substantial and not rickety. Most comment that it is very easy to push, and very easy to fold. Two things parents didn’t like as much were the small size of the canopy and the high center of gravity when empty. For those who need more sun protection than the canopy offers, it is possible to purchase an add-on called a Ray Shade that attaches easily.
Our Quest Mod Recommendations:
The ease of tipping it over when you remove a child from the stroller and something is hanging on the handles is a problem with most umbrella strollers, however. A few parents commented that the wheels, while great on a standard floor or sidewalk, would be quite bumpy over brick or other somewhat uneven surfaces. But this may only be an issue for a limited number of families.
Like most Maclaren strollers, the Quest is a good-looking, easy-pushing, easy to fold design that parents mostly love.
