Maclaren makes upscale strollers with plenty of extra features that parents and children really like. They’re made to exceed safety standards, and they are made to be comfortable. For parents of twins, or parents of two young children close in age, a double stroller is a necessity. There are two basic types: side by side, and tandem. Each style has its advantages and disadvantages. With tandem strollers, a wide turning radius is necessary, but with side by side strollers, doorways can be tricky to navigate.

The Maclaren Twin Triumph double stroller is a side by side model that, like all Maclaren strollers, folds up compactly. It weighs in at 23 lbs, which is actually pretty light for a double stroller. It also has a number of features that are standard on Maclaren’s other strollers: washable seat covers, canopies with viewing windows, baskets underneath, and individually reclining seats.
Other features on the Twin Triumph include two reversible padded seat liners that are washable. It is suitable to use from birth, and will fit through doorways that comply with the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act. Each seat will recline to multiple positions independently and the handles foam grips that parents like, and it has adjustable 5-point harnesses. The hoods are operated separately, and have storage pockets that can easily handle the basic phone, keys, wallet combo. The parking brakes are foot operated and have improved since earlier Maclaren models. The weight limits are 55 lbs. per seat, 110 lbs. total.
Parents have reported that with two young children of different sizes, even a fairly large weight difference does not affect the handling of the stroller. In fact, the ease of pushing this stroller is one of the features parents like best. Though it isn’t listed as a feature, the fact that there are two separate handles rather than a continuous bar to push, you can hang a shopping bag on the handles if you need to.
Maclaren strollers have a reputation for foldability and ease of use, and their double strollers appear to live up to that reputation as well.
