This is one awesomely intricate contraption. The LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Walker is constructed out of over seven hundred and fifty pieces. It’s got missiles ready to fire all over its hull. These aren’t just your run of the mill missiles, however. Two of the missiles actually fire and one is on a rotating turret. The six legs are fully articulated. Plus, you get a Rotta the Hut little green minifigure lump to compliment the five other minifigures that come with this set.
Aside from that you get a little single trooper aerial platform for your battle droid minifigure. Lego really went all out on this set, and this piece of equipment is a real asset to any arsenal.
Say you’re in the foothills of some strange planet and you’re walking around on your AT-TE walker and you hear something amiss. Well, a good Idea might be to crouch down in a hollow and wait till your enemies are right on top of you. Then you suddenly rise up and bloodlessly defeat your enemy with your imposing and surprising move.
One of the great things about Legos is their ability to be made into other things. Occasionally you can read about tips other from other builders on how to customize your ship or make new different original ships or houses or space castles, or really anything you can think of.
That means that the toy continues to evolve as you play with it. You don’t get stuck with boxes and boxes of useless outdated toys and you exercise your imagination. This isn’t the kind of toy for kids under age 7, but most kids can get some real, honest, old fashioned fun out of any LEGO set.
Remember, though, the LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Walker isn’t just any LEGO set. It is more of a secondary centerpiece. It’s huge and relatively expensive, but there are sets even more intricate and expensive out there.
