If you’re in the market for an armored assault tank, Lego’s got you covered. It’s important in these belt tightening times to make the most of your military budget, and if you get this set you also get six whole minifigures! You get Yoda, a Clone Trooperâ„¢, 2 Battle Droidsâ„¢ and 3 new Super Battle Droidsâ„¢ with rocket launcher arms!
Surely this hovering, gun laden mini behemoth can find a place in your imaginary world.
Some people might complain about the aggressive style of play these toys may seem to engender but this is an illusion. It’s actually all about the building and the set up. Huge battles can be set up, but the real action is in the imagination. With six minifigures you get an awful lot of play opportunity.
Divide them into teams and have them fight each other, or team up and go on a scouting mission. The smallish Segway like tank scoots effortlessly across all surfaces hovering just a bit off the ground. It’s a very manoeuvrable vehicle and good for tight situations. Oh, and did I mention that it comes with a detachable speeder? Awesome!
On a more spiritual note, it comes with the beloved Yoda minifigure, who is small enough to put in your pocket so you can have his wisdom there with you all day. Who would have thought that someday a little green shrivelled old slimy thing would end up a spiritual space healer? Goes to show that you never know.
As far as the set, it looks to be pretty easy and it only has four hundred or so pieces. It’s not cheap, but then again it’s not one of those really expensive sets either. One might imagine buying a pair of these for safer space scouting expeditions. The standard grey shaded brick are highlighted by fairly rare blue colored bricks ““ an added bonus!
