K’nex Toys is a line of toys for children that like to build and explore. Each Knex Toys set comes with colorful pieces of various shapes and sizes to construct simple or complex projects. Some sets are intended for ages three and up while other, more complex projects are meant for slightly older children due to the size and complexity of the design. Your child can build a project, take it apart and build another. Most of the Knex toy sets are very inexpensive but a few of the really huge, complex sets cost a bit more.

The Knex Value Tub holds 400 pieces in a convenient carrying tub. This item in the Knex toys line has instructions for more than 20 models and ideas so your child can develop his or her own imagination. This set of Knex toys is designed for children ages seven and up.
2. Creepy Creature Value Tub
Creepy Creature Value Tub by Knex Toys is great for children ages seven and up as it is an intermediate builder level set. The 400 piece set allows the creative child to build creatures from the wild such as lizards, insects, sharks, and a total of 20 projects.
3. Kid Knex Bug-Eyed Buddies
Kid Knex Bug-Eyed Buddies is for the youngest builders, ages three and up. The cute bug-eyed creatures are created from 34 large, easy to snap pieces. The instructions include pictures so young children can build project with little assistance. Two year olds could probably do well with this set with a little assistance.
4. The Racers 20+ Model Building Set
The Racers 20+ Model Building Set contains 400 pieces for building more than 20 models of Racer vehicles. The instruction include projects such as dragsters, jet planes, tow vehicles, and much more. There are two Knex figures included.
5. K’Nex Education Intro to Simple Machines
The K’Nex Education Intro to Simple Machines: Gears toy set has 198 pieces and allows your child to build six different types of functioning gear models which will help them learn science, technology, and physics. They can build gear ratio projects, gear configuration projects, applied force gear projects, gear movement projects and more. There are instructions included for seven models including spur, crown, chain and sprocket gear assemblies. Children can work alone or in a team. This set is perfect for school and there is a curriculum sold separately. These rather complex projects are for older builders.
6. Super Structures 50 Model Building Set
The Knex Toy for really advanced builders is the Super Structures 50 Model Building Set. With this 468 piece set, famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Chrysler Building, Taj Mahal, ocean liners, and many more. Some of these models are quite large and rather complex, making them perfect for children that have long attention spans and can follow directions well. By adding two AA batteries, many of the projects can move.
