Playhouses are truly children’s space. They are ap lace where adults cannot enter and where kids can exercise their imaginations to their fullest extent. However, many playhouses simply can not stand up to the rigors of children’s playtime. That is where Kidkraft playhouses come in. Made of sturdy wood, these houses are meant to be played in and last for years.
Kidkraft makes three models of playhouses. The most basic of these is the traditional style Outdoor Wooden Playhouse. This building comes with a red shingled roof and old-fashioned wood house design. It features windows with closable shutters, a mailbox, and even a place to put windowsill flower planters.
Next, there is the Kidkraft Outdoor Cottage Playhouse. Similar to the traditional Outdoor Wooden Playhouse, this model has all the same essential features. The main difference is that the Cottage Playhouse has a steeper pitched roof that is bright red in color. It also has a cherry colored door and looks more decorative than rural.
Finally, there is also a more deluxe “interactive” outdoor playhouse. The Kidkraft Interactive Outdoor Playhouse offers children several fun activities to enjoy in their own outdoor space. For example, there is a basketball hoop so kids can practice their slam dunk. There is also a pretend outdoor cooking area with a realistic looking grill. Lastly, there is an “open / closed” sign for the house and even a staging area for puppet shows.
