But, lo and behold! He opened his Christmas present, found this ship, and played for more than two hours with it. For me, it was a record time for a toy to be amusing for my son. He was so fascinated with this pirate ship that I was on cloud nine for buying it. The amazing thing for me is that he still plays with this shop with same fervour like before.
The impressive thing about this vessel is that sails can go up and down. The availability of a 3 barrelled cannon, treasure map, a treasure, ship medallions and two figures, a captain and a pirate. Although it seems enough, I think you should go for additional pirates to help your kids have a whale of a time playing with this vessel. With more pirates included in the ship, there are greater chances to have a real play. Also, the presence of more pirates is surely going to induce a wonderful sword fight.
2. Fisher Price Imaginext Dragon World Fortress
This toy was discovered by my husband in a store. He bought it for the 4th birthday of our son. He said he knew in the first place that our son will find it impressive. And, same thing happened. He still loves it a lot.
The great thing is that you can control dragons after the lights flash. What makes it a real hit is the fact that dragon can actually a hold a man in his mouth… scary, huh? Well, there are some other amazing things as well. For instance, the front door is quite impressive; though it imitates a garage door, our son is pretty happy with it.
It is easy to play with the whole thing, but I have to admit that it took as few days before we finally realized that the boulders can also swirl down the slide. To do this, we have to press a little button available atop the slide. It sends the boulder down along with making a specific type of noise.
I found it a perfect present for Christmas, but I am really not happy with the available rooms. I think nothing would go wrong if the rooms wee a little bit deeper. The good thing is that men are quite small, so they can fit in these rooms with ease.
Like all other Imaginext toys, this one is well built as well. Due to their sturdiness, they are just perfect for your young children. And, you can now get some for your little girl. Though they are not known as Imaginext, they are still marketed as Fisher Price Brand. But, we are happy this brand exists, as we have already bought the large Pirate Ship, Coast Guard Boat, Space Station, Space Ship, FireStation, Bat Cave, Ambulance, and many more. Just waiting for some others to arrive… hope there will be some new ones soon.
3. Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures Castle
This was a surprise gift for my 3 year old son for his birthday. And, he has fallen love with it, just like me! The great thing about this particular version is that it came with jousting knights, which are normally sold separately. So, if you are interested in this toy, you should make sure you go for the same version so you don’t have to spend extra cash on buying these knights. Or, you better wait to get this toy on Amazon.
This is a perfect birthday gift, as there are many activities that can be done in this castle. As it is quite durable, it offers a better bang for the buck. But, I think there should be few additions to this castle to make it work even better. For instance, there should be a latch to keep this castle closed when folded up. Also, something should be done with helmets as they don’t stay on for long. Other than these little issues, there is nothing much to worry about.
4. Imaginext Wizard’s Tower, with Wizard & Goblin Figures Included, Compatible with Medieval, Knights Sets
It was on last year’s Christmas when my 6 year old son got this castle set. Even after a year, he still admires it. He uses his creative abilities to create different scenarios for these men. This allows him to play with this set for many hours, which is quite unusual for him. The great thing is that he has some other sets as well and always interchanges these parts. This always allows him to make several different locations. Sometimes, I wonder how he creates new things with these sets, but I am glad he’s having a nice time with this castle set.
However, it is important to mention that you might need to help your child in creating different locations. Just let him know how to do it and you will soon find him doing it on his own. It is so amazing to see him having fun with it. Just make sure you don’t step on these tiny pieces because it is hard to see them on ground.
