My Hamilton Beach 47214 12-Cup BrewStation has served coffee to me for quite some time now. My first Hamilton actually lasted for almost a year before the power button quit working. When it happened, I contacted Hamilton Beach immediately and I was pleasantly surprised to receive this replacement, together with a free postage-paid return label, even before I have sent back the old one to the company. Now, that’s what I call fast service!
In the past two years that I have had this HB Brew Station, I have never experienced any problem at all ““ no leaks, no fumbling with the glass pot, no dribbling coffee from the side of the cup to the floor or counter. I have read somewhere, though, that others have had leaks. I guess this is because the carafe has been dislodged during cleaning. To correct this problem, just make sure that the rubber seal at the bottom of the carafe is intact and securely in place every time you use it.
One time, I noticed that something was thickening on the hinge of the lid. I thought at first that it was mold, but I realized later that it was just hard water deposits. What I did was to lift the lid and press it back just enough to pop the plastic bar out. Then I wiped the bar down on both sides with a dish cloth until the deposits were taken off and then I popped it back into place. Now, isn’t that easy?! I do this every time I clean my BrewStation to eliminate the deposits from accumulating again.

After many years of buying coffee makers, I have come to the conclusion that there is no perfect coffee maker. However, I found that the Hamilton Beach 43254 Classic Stainless 12-Cup Coffeemaker is exactly what I was looking for. It makes hot coffee, the carafe doesn’t drip, and setting up the clock and timer is as easy as ABC. I didn’t even have to consult the manual at all!

This coffee maker uses basket-shaped filters; hence, you can dispose of your unused cone-shaped paper filters now.

The opening of the water reservoir is rather small. However, it is not too small that it has caused me frustration every time I fill it up. I just use a large cup to fill it instead of using the carafe. And I never saw the need to turn the reservoir sideways when filling it up.

The water spout swivels, allowing me to install the filter and add the coffee. It moves back into position when I close the lid.

I have had a defective carafe before; it leaked at the top, between the plastic rim and the glass. But the company replaced it at no charge a few days after I contacted the customer service hotline. I just sealed the original carafe until the replacement arrived.

With the auto pause and serve feature, pouring a cup of coffee was never a problem with me. Besides, I can set the timer beforehand so it is done brewing even before I get up in the morning. Nice!
Hamilton Beach 43253 Ensemble 12-Cup Coffeemaker
I actually had no need for a new coffee pot. My old one, which was a free give-away, was working just fine. However, this one was on sale at K-mart, and it’s red! I have been investing in a counter top of red kitchen appliances, so this one really caught my attention.
When I used the Hamilton Beach 43253 Ensemble 12-Cup Coffeemaker, I was amazed! It was so easy to clean! The mouth of the pitcher is as wide as the base, so cleaning the inside of the pitcher is a breeze. Even the coffee ground chamber is very easy to clean. And the karaff is wide! I have no spills when I’m pouring that first cup.
It is so user-friendly. There are only a few buttons, which are very easy to program. It’s lightweight, and I can move it around easily if the need arises. It’s also fast. I never feel that I’m forever waiting for it to finish.
So what’s my only concern? It’s that there’s no room for going over the 12-cup limit. It really overflows!

I am one of those people who have to have a cup of coffee to be able to fully wake up in the morning. And I’m forever dreaming of having a cheap coffee maker that can make that only one cup of coffee that I want to drink.

I love this pot! It doesn’t dribble. Just push down on the tab that says "Press to Pour", fill your cup, and enjoy your coffee.
Though it is stainless steel inside and out, the insulated carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long period of time. Preheating the carafe produces hotter coffee, and keeps it that way for some time.
The Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Thermal Coffeemaker – Stainless Steel comes with two travel mugs and an undersized long-handled coffee scoop. The two mugs have marks to indicate the water level inside so you can prepare the exact amount of coffee that you want to drink. The filter holder are removable and easy to clean. The buttons and indicators are on the front, easy to read, and easy to understand. The cups sit on a perforated disk, which can be removed for easy cleaning. Also the drips don’t run off to the counter to make a mess; they can just be sponged off right there and then.
My wife paid less than fifty bucks for this at a local store. Good design, good hot coffee, good price. What more do you need?
