Mattel Co, a toy industry leader, has created Blokus, a game that helps promote improved thinking skills such as strategizing. This is the classic Blokus game, winner of over 20 prestigious awards. In fact, Blokus has been the recipient of more awards that any other game of the 21st century. The prestigious Mensa award was bestowed upon the Blokus board game because the game contains activities that are useful in the promotion of healthy brain functioning.
1. Blokus Classics Game
Both adults and children over the age of 5 years of age will thoroughly enjoy this board game that test spatial thinking. Kids will love the bright colors. The simplicity of the rules also is great for kids. A family game night is such a great idea because it allows for a closeness that sometimes is missing when each member is watching television or playing video games. Adults will still feel that the game offers enough competition and challenge to be interesting to them. The goal of the game is for a player to play all of his or her pieces onto the board. Pieces must be placed on the board by having the game piece just touch one corner of the pieces already on the board.
