Have you SEEN these 30 geeky custom Munnys?

One of the most exciting things we’re watching here at TheToyZone.com is all the movement in Munny mods. These cute, do-it-yourself-type action figures, from the American designer-toy company Kidrobot, are being decorated around the globe by owners using pencils, pens, markers, paint””and plenty more, as you’ll see below. Made of vinyl with moveable joints, they’re the perfect subjects for a full spectrum of spectacular mods.

Here’s a super-detailed mod from the Science Fiction/Fantasy camp””which we can always count on for great work. This beautiful, earthly design is a great memento from the movie. And just look at those eyes!

Check out the expression””perfect! From the cartoon characterization to the bright colors to the real cloth backpack, this is a great, classic mod. Nice work!

Time for some serious robot action here””from the ultra-colorful Soundwave Madl to the Stikfas-Piloted Mecha Munny to the Caterpillar Stump Grinder Madl. We especially dig the figure-in-a-figure possibilities on display here!

An exceptional paint job on this one””you can almost FEEL the flames! Another great example of how toys don’t need to be overly cute to be exceptionally cool.

Awww… isn’t that sweet? There’s nothing like true Munny love””especially when it’s between two lovely examples such as these.

Everyone loves a good Scotsman””just ask any Simpsons fan. And this salty character is just perfect for the role; check out that detail on the face. Superb!

Even the Munny mods are going green! This environmental masterpiece makes a strong statement””and shows a lot of artistic skill at the same time. But””is that a white flag being held up? Hmmm…

Something cool about the simple subtlety here””it’s just a nice, minimalist design that really retains the original Munny shape. And look closer into those patterns of the cap, mouth, eyes, etc. Nice!

17. Masked Munny

This one’s so spectacular it deserves a front AND side view! Check out the monster-rific details””the mask, the horns and the awesome “skull club.” This is one we’d like to have on our desks.

18. Eyeball Munny

Another mod worthy of two views. Of course, the eyeball is cool, but we just can’t get over how the four-fingered “hand” thingy in the back grabs the eye and rotates. Awesome work!

Sometimes you can just SEE a great mod in a two-dimensional design. We all agree that this concept would make for a really great Munny mod. Any takers?

20. Death’s Head Munny

The name says it all””this mod looks like death walking. (Which, of course, is exactly the point.) And, you gotta admit, there’s always something elegant about a clean, black-and-white design.

21. Piloted Robo-Munny

There’s always time for a good tin-robot design. This one absolutely rocks with house with bold execution and exquisite detail. One more example of a Munny being “piloted” by another entity””perfectly done!

22. Angry Woebots Munny

Wanna see realistic anger executed with a paint brush? This is it. Beautiful, almost calligraphic strokes with an Asian design feel make for a very Zen mod. Almost seems like it could keep the “angry gods” away all on its own.

Does this one kinda freak you out? Good””we’re not alone. Still, we mean that in a good way””this is a mod you (literally) just can’t take your eyes off of, from the eyes to the gorgeous paint scheme.

24. Robot Munny with rivets and light-up eyes

His freakin’ EYES LIGHT UP IN THE DARK! Need we say anymore? This is certainly one of the best mods we’ve seen in the tin-robot category””or any category, really. Just beautiful.

Is there a Munny in there? We’re not quite so sure, but you just gotta love a big crocodile that walk on two legs, like a Tyrannosaurus Rex or something. A lot of work””and an amazing job!
