Ben 10 is certainly the animated series for kids of the moment. It’s easy to see how kids can become addicted to the show: a young boy like themselves discovering an alien pod that gives him superpowers. It kind of flares up the imagination of children! The Omnitrix is the watch-like device that gives Ben the ability to transform into alien organisms with their own powers (by combining his DNA with that of the Aliens!). Ben then embarks on adventure upon adventure tackling opponents that are both earthly and extraterrestrial. As he progresses, he uncovers the mystery behind the Omnitrix and his inventor. In the process, he comes at odds with some pretty nasty characters. The success of the series on Cartoon Network spurred the development of a wide variety of toys, books, video games, action figures and card games, each more realistic and innovative than the other. The Omnitrix series is one of the most popular Ben 10 Alien Force toys around, sporting 10 alien figures as well as the Omnitrix watch. Kids enjoy the ability to wear the watch and pretend to be Ben 10 very much. Other creative toys let the imagination loose in the universe of Ben 10.
1. Ben 10 Ultimate Omnitrix
The Ultimate Omnitrix is an excellent initiative but many things could be improved. Firstly, its better to have a “super alien pack” with all ten of the figurines as well as extra batteries for the watch, since it has those irritating button cell batteries. Moreover, the face of Omnitrix I refuses to stay completely down. The figurines are meant to attach to the power switch at the back. The watch can be worn with the power switch towards the wearer, which saves on energy, but is somewhat frustrating. However, the good thing is that the straps of the watch have been significantly improved. Although difficult to wear at first, it becomes easy with practice. The pegs are of better quality than in Ben 10 Omnitrix F/X (the first Omnitrix toy) which rip off after a while. On the whole it is a good toy but a little snaggish.
2. Ben 10 Alien Creation Chamber
My 5-year old son spends his after-school time entirely with this toy. I am quite fond of it myself as it is quite well conceived with an amusing concept behind it. He enjoys building the aliens and at times does not even use the “Creator”. He just brings the parts together himself. This is a child that enjoys constructive activity like legos and the Ben 10 takes his creativity to a higher level.
3. Ben 10 Alien Force 6" DNA Alien Heroes Big Chill
A really amazing toy although the wings detach easily and are very difficult to re-attach. Because of this my children now prefer them without the wings.
4. Ben 10 Tennyson Alien Force Action Figure Alien Collection
Being a humongous admirer of Ben 10, my young boy is simple besotted by this toy. However, the wheels of the hoverboard are easily detached so that they lose themselves easily. The joints on Ben’s knees look like they will come off but till now they have held. On the whole, the benefits surpass the disadvantages.
5. Ben 10 Kevin’s Action Cruiser
My kid certainly has the whole Ben 10 collection but hungers for more””a genuine aficionado. So without having to ask for his opinion, we just bought this toy for him. He was so pleasantly amazed! The price was good too!
