Baby Einstein started out as a single DVD titled Baby Einstein that included classical music, fine art, and poetry with simple scenes involving small children playing with toys. It became so popular that the company was sold to Walt Disney just three years after it began. Now Baby Einstein includes dozens of videos appropriate for newborns to preschoolers, as well as educational toys and puppets.
The DVD Baby’s First Sounds contains the adorable coos and sounds that precede a baby’s first words. These sounds are language "baby steps," according to Baby Einstein, and help your wee one learn how to relate to people and the world. Once simple sounds are covered, the video connects the sounds to create simple words in English, French, Chinese, and Spanish, to the accompaniment of puppet shows, nursery rhymes and pictures of babies and parents interacting.
My First Signs – See & Sign with Baby is a fun introduction to sign language. Learning simple signs is a great way to help your child improve her ability to interact with surroundings with signs for "daddy," "mommy," and "I love you." All signs are spoken as well. See & Sign with Baby helps babies express themselves and includes real world video to the accompaniment of classical music.
Baby Monet – Discovering the Seasons introduces babies to the seasons of the year with art and music with sights and sounds, including pictures of famous Monet paintings and music from Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. The videos feature images of children, nature, and Monet masterpieces and allows you and your baby to explore the seasonal wonders of the world together.
Other titles in the Baby Einstein DVD set include Baby DaVinci – from Head to Toe; Baby Gallileo – Discovering the Sky; World Animals – A Music Safari, and Baby’s Favorite Places – Words Around Town, among many others. Baby Einstein videos were designed just for babies, to engage them and help them reach developmental milestones while enjoying fun play and music.
