Axis and Allies Board Game

Axis and Allies board games are based on World War II and are strategy games. Approximately two million copies have been printed. Designed by Larry Harris, the game was originally released in 1981 and republished by Milton Bradley Company in 1984. The objective of the Axis and Allies board games is to be victorious in war by capturing the critical territories. This is based on the war strategy for World War II. It should be noted that these games are based loosely on the events that occurred during the War. It is not historically accurate in every sense. That is done to aid the flow of the game and to provide balance so that each side has an opportunity during the battles.

2. Axis & Allies D-Day

 Axis & Allies D-Day

D-Day was a historical day in World War II history. The beaches of Normandy were the battleground as the struggle to control the cities of Cherbourg, St. Lo and Caen was bitterly fought. Axis & Allies D-Day is the perfect game for two to three players as they participate in arguably the greatest battle of the 20th century. A new larger game board improves the players’ ability to plan and strategize. Combat is played in rounds. Each side roll dice to decide which of their units will attack the opposing side. If a number is rolled that is less or equal to the defense rating of the other side, a direct hit will be scored. Methods of combat such as bombing raids, naval bombardment or anti-aircraft can only be played at one round.
