10 Suicides Recreated in LEGO

by admin on August 30, 2008

Death by Lego may seem quite unbelievable, but these 10 suicides may be more dangerous than you first thought…

Method 1: Blowing up in 10…9…err hang on

Seems like a quick and easy way to go, but i wonder if he would have time to rebuild the numbers for the countdown in time?

Method 2: Death by Electricity Sparks.

It looks like those sparks could do some real damage, especially if they poked someone in the eye with those sharp corners.

Method 3: Blow out your brains, with no mess!

At least the blood won’t stain the carpet.

Method 4: Hanging around…but for how long?

True, it’s size adjustable,  but what happens when he steps off the platform? May need a few more attempts or some super glue.

Method 5: Overdose or Overeat?

Make sure you go for soluble pills; you try chewing too many and you may end up choking instead.

Method 6: ‘No.4 Pea Green’ Poison

The most dangerous poison comes in a variety of primary colours. This guy went for the ‘pea green’.

Method 7: Stab yourself in the chest

This weapon could actually cause a bit of damage with enough pressure, its not one of those where the blade disappears when you push it in. Handle with care.

Method 8: Become a Suicide Bomber

This one can cause a bit of a stir and a touch of worry for your sanity, when people see you sat on public transport in this position.

Method 9: Go for the Wrists

Its surprising how many people end up having multi-coloured blood when those reds are running low..

Method 10: Too much LEGO Heroin

He died doing something he loved…

A bit thank you to the guys who took these funny photos, if you want more please visit their flickr page: www.flickr.com

Plastic Lego contains poisonous vapors.
You might want to change to wooden Lego to avoid toxic air in your home.

Green isn’t a primary colour

OMG in Method 7: Stab yourself in the chest what is the thing behind you. Because that is clearly typical Guatemalan stuff.

it’s funny because they recreates some suicide scenes with legos!

Blargy September 3, 2008 at 1:23 pm

Well Done. I especially loved how you enforced ethnic stereotypes with the suicide bomber!

I enjoyed all of these until the suicide bomber one. It’s ignorant and racist people like you who breed unnecessary fear.

As someone who actually struggles daily with severe depression and has attempted suicide in the past, I have to say this is SICK, really SICK, and you should really think about what you’re posting before you do it. Mental illness, depression, suicide – it’s not f***ing joke. It’s not something to make light of or laugh at or depict in “funny” pictures.

Go do some research. This is pathetic.

J,

IMHO life is a f**ing joke, remember its just a ride!

Don’t take life so serious.

@Admin:

I just got done reading the article, “Should Children Use Toy Guns”, in which the writer (“Admin”–who I realize may well not be the same individual who authored, “10 Suicides Recreated in Lego”) talks about their new-found sensitivity toward guns because of what had happened with their neighbor’s family.

I would assume that that writer would feel it in poor taste if a post was created that lampooned the seriousness of child deaths by firearms. Yet here this post is, making light of various methods of suicide.

Now, I will be among the first to express the sentiment that sometimes, making jokes is the only defense in a truly horrifying situation (see M.A.S.H.), and we also them as fodder in movies. But in this case, J’s personal proximity to similar events prevents them from making light of this particular situation. Worst-case, if you are the writer of the “toy gun” article, your reply to J is face-palmingly hypocritical. If you aren’t, it’s just completely dismissive and childish. Either way, it is completely unneeded.

I’d say an apology to J wouldn’t be unwarranted in this situation.

Jinky,

Me and J differ on what we feel about Mental illness, depression, suicide. I don’t beleive that anything should be out of bounds for humour.

I really thought that “LEGO” representations of different suicides was funny.

I respect my readers comments and i have to accept that people are offended by the images..

I didn’t meant to be dismissive or childish with J and if he/she felt that then i’m sorry. All I wanted to say was that i think you should make light of everything in life… as its all an illusion of sorts and taking it all so serious just makes for more suffering.

Thanks for your comment Jinky.
