10 Batman Toys to Battle the Joker With

Half the fun of playing with superheroes is having gadgets to catch the bad guys with.

My son is convinced that Batman is way cooler than Superman because Superman only comes with a cape. And, as he asks with big round eyes, what superhero ever caught a villain with his cape? As you can see from the list of toys below, Batman comes with all sorts of great accessories, even the plush Batman has a Bat-A-Rang. Evil toys beware!

Go Batman — by Carrera

Great new racetrack based on the latest Batman movie. This set comes complete with the Batmobile and The Joker Mobile. Kids will enjoy watching the racecars chase each other and complete the loops. Crashes are also great fun!

Batman Lights and Sounds Trike
– by Fisher-Price

At my sons daycare they have a collection of trikes for the kids to ride on. This trike is the most coveted. Why? The handlebars come with a wide variety of buttons that make different sounds and flash lights. And, of course, it has the Batman Logo on it.

Hot Wheels: Monster Jam 1:24 Scale – USHRA Batman
– by Mattel

This huge Monster Truck version of the Batmobile is great for playing out in the backyard. Comes with tough oversized tires and a working suspension for all of that 4 weeling action through the planter boxes. It’s large size and ease of movement make it a perfect choice for small hands. Comes with Batman insignia and Batmobile styling.

10 Inch Deluxe Be Brave Buddies Plush Figure Batman — by DC

My husband has always been a fan of Comic Books, so it came as no surprise when he wanted to buy our 6 month old son his first superhero. This adorable Batman plush is styled after the DC Superfriends version of the classic DC character. When squeezed makes the sound of a bat-a-rang being thrown.

Batman the Dark Knight Walkie Talkies
– by MPA Sales

Walkie-Talkies are great toys for kids. Besides great Batman styling, this set also comes with the ability to send Morse code and comes with a code guide for covert playing. If you’re heading to the mall with your kids, a set of these could also come in handy when parents and kids seperate.

Batman – DC Super Friends
– by Imaginex

DC Superfriends are the “good” version of the DC superheroes team. Without the baggage and dark themes of the movies, these figures are more akin to comic book characters. With happy faces and oversized feet these Superfriends are little champions for little kids. This Batman set comes with wings and a jetpack so Batman can fly to the rescue.

Batman Arkham Asylum
– by Lego

I’m always a little surprised at the pricetags on some of these kits by Lego. But when I get closer and look at the number of pieces and the quality and thoughtfulness of the design, the pricetag is definitely worth it. The Arkham Asylum by Lego is asolutely amazing, I got chills just looking at the package. This kit contains over 800 pieces and a fully stocked looney bin: Nightwing, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, and the Scarecrow. This kit was great fun to put together – highly recommended!

Super Friends Batcave
– by Fisher-Price

Another winner from Fisher-Price, the Super Friends accessories are great for smaller children. The Batcave is full of extras – elevators, grappling hook lines, ramps, gates, launchers – your child will have fun discovering all of them! This is a great toy for inspiring pretend play, but you might want to get a villain or two to spice it up.

Batman Dark Knight Ultimate Figure
– by Mattel

My husband has a number of large scale action figures that he has collected from his childhood (and a few Dragon figures from his adulthood!) He loved the new Batman figurine and had to add it to his collection. This particular figure has over 20 points of articulation and can be posed in an almost infinate combination of positions. High quality accessories, batsuit and cape. Actually looks like Christian Bale’s version on Batman. I’d recommend it for collectors… but whatever you do – don’t call it a “doll!”

The Dark Knight Batman Stealth Launch Batmoblie Vehicle
– by Mattel

This is a great toy for car fans as well as Batman fans. Rumble style Batmobile breaks open to shoot out a Batcycle. Batcycle is fast and shoots out really far. Batcycle comes with a Batman figurine attached and is easy for smaller hands to operate. Launching mechanism requires a bit of patience, so stay nearby to help children under 5 reload.
